Marc Mallory, DDS Marc Mallory, D.D.S.

Dr. Marc P. Mallory was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan.  He loves his home town and chose to stay and raise his family here because of the fantastic schools, the big ten university town feel, the heart of state government, and Michigan’s environmental beauty—especially our great lakes.

Growing up just a couple of miles from the Capitol, Dr. Mallory graduated from Sexton High School in 1978.  He earned his Bachelors of Arts in Zoology from Michigan State University in 1982.  He then attended dental school at the University of Michigan and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1986.  Degrees from two of Michigan’s finest universities rounded Dr. Mallory out a bit.  While he’s still primarily a Spartan, he cheers for the Wolverines in any other match-up.

Dentistry is the Mallory family business.  For 40 year his dad, Dr. Sam Mallory, had his dental practice here in Lansing too.  Since he was 13 years old, Marc was eager to follow in his dad’s footsteps and had great experiences working in his dad’s practice in different capacities over the years.  He has learned the business of family dentistry from the ground up, working as an office gopher to dental assistant to dental lab technician throughout his schooling.

Dr. Mallory opened up his own dental practice in downtown Lansing in 1986.  The friendly atmosphere and location has drawn patients from all over the Lansing metropolitan area.  Dr. Mallory works through state holidays and the traditional lunch hour to accommodate his patients, many of whom are state employees.  It is often said that the Dr. Mallory’s dental team’s enthusiasm, combined with cutting edge dental techniques, makes dental visits fun.

Marc’s pride and joy is his family.  He lives in East Lansing with his wife, Senator Gretchen Whitmer, and their 5 children:  his sons Alex, Mason and Winston, and her daughters, Sherry and Sydney.  He loves to play his guitars and piano.  Travel has given Dr. Mallory the opportunity to merge his two greatest loves: growing with his family and the study of history.  And as much as they all like to explore the world around them, the whole Mallory clan is always happy to come home to East Lansing.
